“The Copper Corridor” Southeastern Arizona Mining Towns

In late Fall of 2012 through early Spring 2013 I began to look at small towns in Southeastern Arizona. These communities are mostly abandoned small towns which were supported by copper mining. When prices fell for the metal, most small prospectors could not recover from the economic downturn and the towns they supported loss their business base. Even large and established corporate mines lost the ability to support relatively small towns like Superior, Miami and Winkelman Arizona.
I have also included some work completed in Cave Creek, Arizona and along the Apache Trial. I will be returning in late March to work farther southeast toward Sierra Vista and Bisbee, Arizona.
